Several installations with one DB

I am trying to use Arfooo as a simple directory for all of our own websites and want to make several installations (all using the same database with the same website entries) and will change only the templates for each intallation.

My first thought was simply to make several "settings" tables in MySQL (settings1, settings2, ...) and tried to change the variable $settings in core/FrontController.php. But this doesn't work.

So my question is: Is it possible to make several "settings" tables and if yes which variables I have to change?

You could use the same database for all your directories but as the template choice is saved in the database, all you would have to do is to keep the same template folder name for all your installations of Arfooo and modify the content of the tpl and/or css files inside the folders.

Having duplicate content even if the templates are different can be dangerous and might get your sites banned from search engines so I am not sure you really want to do this
