Install ok but error when login to admin panel

Hi Arf

Sorted out the install problem and site now comes up ok but I cannot login to the admin panel. I get the following error message. Any help very gratefully received. I thought login might be case sensitive but I get the same message with upper and lower case first letter.

Also I deleted the install file for security reasons and now get error message on the home page of the directory:

Did you chmod the files to 777 when you did the install.
Do you have your db up.
