German Umlaute

Hallo,
i have installed arfooo directory script and translate it to German language.
But on the Mainpage the chars is shown wrong.
The categories was right but the statistics chars are wrong!

i think the problems came for the language "de.php" !
Did you save it with UTF-8 coding ?

Hallo,
i have copied the en.php on my server and edited them with Globalscape CuteFTP Pro 8.
I do it with this editor much years without any problems.

But i make tests with another editor.

I have test it with PSPad with utf-8 but nothing.....

or nomore bad characters ?

after your second save UTF8
Did you delete the files content of cache and compiled folders by ftp

or delete the cache in admin panel
