sitemap.xml generator

Directory is up and running.

Can any one recommend a simple way to create a sitemap.xml.gz file for my directory?

What do you want use gzip ?
Arfooo directory include function for generate sitemap.xml automaticly in admin.

I have looked through the admin panel but the only reference I can find to sitemap is under the main tab Directory. It says view sitemap, but because I dont have one yet it returns an error.

Is there a setting I have missed to turn on sitemap generator?

Hi,

Normally, you click on view google sitemap and the sitemap.xml is generate.
If you have an error, create manually the file "sitemap.xml" in your directory and CHOMOD 777 this file.
Test one more time and normally the sitemap.xml work

I created empty file called sitemap.xml and uploaded it to root. chmod to 777.

I get error message below.

"Sorry, the page you were looking for cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Error: (DNS), click the back back button to try another link."

And the url below is populated into browser bar.
