Transfer the script to a different host

Hi, I really like your script but the shared server I am currently using is very slow so I an thinking of moving to a faster server
Currently I use the script on ipage.com servers and I am interested of moving it to hostgator.com
Both host are linux based
Will it be difficult to transfer the script to a different host?
Do you have a tutorial of how to do that correct? what are the major steps involved?

be sure php5 is activated on the 2nd server
1)you export your database
2) you transfer all files on 1rstserver on your computer
3) you create your database on new host
4) you change your database connections and pw on config/db.php
5) you transfer all files on 2ndserver
if you have a change on domain name you update it in the database
6) you import your database
