correct folder permissions after install ?

When I installed Arfooo I had to change permissions on the following directories to 777 :
cache
save
uploads/images_categories
uploads/images_thumbs
compiled
config/db_php
I have been away from webmastering for a few years so I am a bit "out of practice". Can someone please remind me which of the directories (above) should remain CH 777, and which should be returned to their original permissions? I don't want to leave security compromised, but I also do not want to cause problems for the script.

Hi,

For the file config/db_php you can put 444 or 644.
For other folder you have .htaccess for don't have security problem with external source.
